Miss Biddy Pitt, daughter of Mrs Percy Pitt and the late Mr Percy Pitt, the musical director, married Mr Cyril Cresswell-Hughes of Birmingham at St Georges Church, Hanover Square. The brides father was well known as conductor at Covent Garden and the BBC. The bride wore a medieval wedding gown designed by Frances Day, the actress, who is one of Mrs Pitts pupils for singing. Among the bridesmaids was the six-year-old daughter of Teddie St Denis, the musical comedy actor.
