King George V inspecting Ole Bill (driven by James Melton and filled with war veterans) an LCC bus requisitioned by the War Department which saw service throughout the whole of WW1 - Buckingham Palace, 14th February 1920. To mark this special occasion, the bus was decorated and became a mobile war memorial. This evocative photograph captures a poignant moment in history as King George V inspects the unique LCC bus, affectionately named "Ole Bill," in the courtyard of Buckingham Palace on 14th February 1920.
